I wanted to give a shout out to some great service from Toyota of Richardson's used car dealership. Neal Pascoe helped me get back into a Prius after mine was hit and totaled about a month ago. I was trying to find a particularly hard model and trim to locate and these guys had it on their lot. I reached out through the AutoTrader web site and Neal contacted me within about an hour. He sounded easy going and he was the same in person. I made an appointment for a little later and we go down to shopping.

We took a look at the car for a while and did a short test drive so I could see if there were any squirrly bits about it and shake it out. I had a 2005 Prius before and this felt like a more refined version, but still felt like an old glove. Satisfied with the real live car, we went inside to see if we could make the numbers work for everyone. I expected more issues over the negotiation, but they added some items to the package and I was able to get them take off where they didn't add value to me. It helps to do your research ahead and have a non emotional attachment to the value the car brings. (So you can walk if it doesn't work for everyone) I had already stalked the handful of cars in the metroplex and this one looked like the best feature / milage / price point.

They were also able to beat my pre-approval loan though their financing and even the financing / paperwork went well (kudos to Chris and his help in the finance room)

So the best part of the evening was as we had finished the closing and I was getting ready to drive my rental car home (was going to get a co-worker to bring me over in the morning) Neal asked if I was rented from Enterprise, which I had. There apparently is one next door and he offered to check the rental in for me in the morning. That was a blessing! I didn't realize what a weight the whole thing was until I showed up at my house with the whole accident thing closed and the details taken care of. Thanks again Neal!
