I was going to give 2 stars b/c the monitoring service was as expected for 5 years but the customer service I received the past few months has been so bad this company doesn't even deserve 1. I had been with Certified for 5 years and realized earlier this year that I had been overcharged for a service I wasn't receiving since we moved 2 years ago. Long story short, the "customer service" I received when trying to lower my payment or fix the issue was horrible. No returned calls and every time I called they would tell me that they would return my call after pulling my file. When I told them I wanted to cancel they tried charging me for 2 more months of monitoring as a "termination fee" when I haven't been under contract for 2 years. I was able to talk them out of the ridiculous fee but could not get a refund for at least the 4 months or so I tried to fix the problem or lower my bill. I do not recommend this company to anyone. The monitoring service was as good as expected but they failed miserablably in customer service with the one and only issue I had in 5 years. I'm disgusted with the service I have received the past few months. And the bad thing is that it wasn't just one person that wouldn't return my call. It was at least 4-5 different people I talked to. Not one returned call until I asked to speak to a manager. Even then I had to wait until he "returned from lunch" and finally got a call 4 hours later. I'm now with Custom Security and I'm paying almost $10 less per month.
