On August 3rd I had a service tech from A#1 come out, as our AC unit was not cooling like normal. They came same day and added freon and we thought the problem was solved.

An hour later, our AC unit started to throw a breaker and another tech came out and told us the compressor had been shocked from the added freon and was no longer working. We were told a new unit would be needed and within a few hours, a sales person was at the door and sold me an 4 ton unit (just AC, not complete system) that was priced at 7K plus. I knew this was high but at the time had literally just come home from a hospital with a newborn that day and needed it taken care of ASAP.

Unit was installed 2 days later and this is where I had nothing but issues with A#1. Hours after the unit was installed, we still didn't have a cool house. It was late that night before it finally cooled off. Wondering if it was an issue, I had another tech come out. This one told me that the installers do not always know how much freon is needed and that it was already low. Over the next several days, my brand new unit could not get my house below 79 durning the day.

I gave it a few days and contacted customer service. They were quick to act as though the problem would be resolved but it was a few days before I heard anything back. It was then several more days waiting on a special tech to come out and measure my air vents. It was several more days of getting no response to which I called again and was told the tech hadn't even submitted my results yet. It was another week of waiting to hear back from customer service before I once again called.

It's now been a 3 week process of still dealing with an expensive, brand new unit that does not cool as well as my "older" unit. I've had techs say other techs did not know what they were doing, I've had paperwork and phone calls not returned or dealt with, and today had a sales person tell me they had left me several messages and that I had not responded (I've looked over every phone call over the last 2 weeks and not one was from the sales person).

I would in no way ever recommend A#1 Air. I called them because it was an emergency and I had heard they were a great company. I've seen and experienced nothing but poor service.
