Updating in Feb of 2020. I only buy shirts from Proper Cloth. You can get the perfect fit and they have literally 100s of fabrics and patterns. And the price is no more than you'd pay for a shirt of similar quality at Nordstrom or Macy's. But it's a custom fit. Shipping i usually pretty fast (about a week or two). I love this company!

Update: Now I've bought 4 more, including a short sleeve. You can completely customize the shirt. First, walk through and properly fill out the web app that determines your custom fit. Don't cheat, no one is judging you. You can then just order a shirt and if you don't like it, return it. They have the guaratee. And the shirts come in nice, simple boxes.

Then, take one of your standard dress shirts and think about what you like and don't like about it. Want a front placket - then note that. Want the neck to be slightly smaller - then note that. And on your next shirt, tinker a bit. Don't get overwhelmed! Just lookd at the shirts you own that you like and only change 1 or 2 things from you Proper Cloth configuration. Then next time, add a pocket. Then the time after that, go with the mother of pearl buttons, e.g. ALL the shirts you order, you'll wear. But you'll get to the place where you will be in SHIRT NIRVANA!!! You'll have your saved customizations, and then you can just choose a fabric. And it takes 3 mins to buy a shirt.

I'm telling you, do it. I'm 6'5" so it's absurd how hard it is to buy shirts off the rack that fit.
