Home to history of bucolic beach bungalows called the Queen of the Island by the LIRR in the 1880's, used to be a overnight stop on the stage coach ride to the Hamptons in the 1860's. Quogue is on the National Registry of Historic places and some 200 shingle style homes are contributing structures.
