But the real wonder of the Empire State Building is the observatory deck which is highly suggested to long time NYC residents like myself. As a building tenant, you get half off tickets. Once you get to the 86th floor--the observatory deck offers stunning views of NYC from every direction. The management company has done a great job in permitting viewers to stay as long as they like. The metal gate ensures that you can walk to the edge without the fear of heights. Absolutely amazing to identify the outer boroughs and other sights all within miles.
