So, this is a BAD rating for a GUY AT THE COUNTER who collected my documents (unfortunately I did not note which counter it was). He was SO INCREDIBLY RUDE to me, he literally almost yelled at me and interrogated me like I was some kind of a criminal. HE MADE ME FEEL really low, beaten and DISRESPECTED. I followed all the documentation requirements properly, so there was nothing wrong or missing. But he started verbally attacking me about the 2 Turkish transit visa stamps I had in my passport. He repeated the question Why were you in Turkey? like a dozen times in a very aggressive manner. I passed by Istanbul during my travels to Europe from Asia 2 years ago and then when I was traveling to Georgia with friends (each visit was no longer than 3 days. But this answer did not satisfy him for some reason, and instead he made a random conclusion: you have a Turkish boyfriend! Then he asked me to write an explanation note about why is it that I visited Turkey 2 years ago. I mean, the whole communication with him was absolutely bonkers. Very discriminating/bios attitude. Unfathomable.

Other staff members were ok though, some girls were quite nice. The fact that you need an octopus card or can pay only cash 10/ 20/50 for the photos is a bit annoying, as not everyone has an octopus card, especially those who don t live in HongKong.

Also, I had to go for an interview at the Chinese consulate near the visa center. The staff there were quite respectful, although they did ask a lot of different questions about my background and future plans (more questions than I have expected), but that s ok, I was happy that they were polite enough.

Overall, from now on I d rather choose another place/country to apply for a Chinese visa, if such need arises.
