Cindy Hale Review of Longevity Shoe Care: BYU-Idaho...

I am an online student and do not live in the Rexburg area. I have been to the campus once, and was assisted efficiently and cheerfully in numerous instances by campus staff.
BYUI is remarkable in how much they can accomplish with little money. It is the only truly affordable place I can continue my education at this time. The discipline, coupled with the low cost, is particularly helpful for talented students in difficult situations, as students are assisted in rounding out their skills and overcoming roadblocks to their success.
I am impressed at the dedication of teachers who function in a non-hierarchial faculty situation. In most cases, my teachers are professionals in the fields they teach, and teach part-time. They participate also from various areas of the United States, including Virginia and Arizona, in my case, at this time. The dedication of on-campus and online teachers who forfeit the usual perks of a hierarchial faculty situation to teach the things that are important to them is most impressive to me. I believe there is an element of real-life passion and freshness in the material and presentation that results.
This school is very focused on building a strong individual or employee - one who can work in an ethically-challenging environment and as a team with other people. This is highly valuable to an employer, and as this school grows beyond the cultural bounds of Rexburg, it will grow also in its influence and value to our nation and world community.
Last, but not least, the merging of spiritual and more secular aspects of education is a very positive experience.
