Eye Doctor Review of Hyatt Regency Denver at Colora...

The only reason that I would enter this hotel is to walk up to the highest floor and look out to the many hotels nearby, and choose another. There are many options right around the conference center, I just wish that I had known.
I was really looking forward to this trip. The hotel had good reviews so I thought that we would enjoy a really nice stay at a seemingly nice hotel.
We arrived late to the hotel, and the immediate greeting by the front desk attendant was not warm at all. She immediately told me that they would be charging me $50 a day for some deposit, as if the nearly $300 a night that I was already paying with no breakfast, and no parking included wasn't enough...
The first night we were there, the toilet was flushed and then it ran all night, so I told the front desk the next day. Someone apparently came to fix it, but did nothing to the toilet as it was still running after one use. So, I called again, and another person came. This time, we even had to tell them that a specific part needed to be replaced. The part was replaced, but alas, it was still running. So, we called again. Another person came to fix it, and apparently the part had been put on incorrectly. However, it was finally replaced and I was finally able to use the toilet after three days... They gave us a $10 credit to be used in their cafe as a courtesy. I went to use the $10 and again, an oddly unfriendly hassle even to get coffee. (too confusing even to explain, just odd...)
We stayed five nights and our trash wasn't taken out a few nights, it was overflowing as I got some takeout, and the obvious used glasses in the room were not even cleaned.
There is no vent to turn on in the bathroom, so after a shower, the mirror is cloudy and you just have to open the door and wait for it to clear up before you can use it. (The shower head is nice and the water pressure is good)
We paid the ridiculous fee of $35 to park, we tried to exit where it says exit, of course even though it said that it was open, it wasn't. We had to back up and put the ticket into another exit, and it said that we owed an additional $15 for some reason, no surprise at this point (which was wrong) but, they did finally pen the gate for us...
I was there for a conference. Multiple times people came into my room and placed advertisements on the furniture and on the bathroom mirror, by day two or three my bathroom mirror was covered in stick on advertisements even though a sign for privacy was placed on the door...I did not like this at all. If you want to slide something under my door, fine, but I do not like walking up to the room and seeing someone coming out unannounced...Completely unacceptable.
The last day that we were there, a jackhammer was put into use at 9am that you could hear throughout the hotel...
When I was checking out, I wasn't surprised that I had a balance, they had apparently charged me wrong the first time. It wasn't much, so really no big deal, but by this time, I at least wasn't surprised by the hassle.
I would look into other options nearby. They might be the same price, but some I know offer breakfast and/or happy hour and hopefully are at least friendlier than the folks at this Hyatt.
