Nightlife at the Academy of Sciences was a great way to catch up with old friends that I met studying abroad a few years ago. I recently moved to the area, but the California Academy of Sciences' nightlife on Thursday nights seems like a hoppin destination in Golden Gate park for science and alcohol lovers to meet up for some fun. Most of the crowd seemed to be in their 20's and 30's, with a $15 entrance fee. I recommend buying your tickets online and also checking out the Planetarium show, which was definitely unique and rotates in variety. I had two manhattans for $12 which were pretty average, but you are walking through looking at animals and exhibits, so I wasn't too picky. Overall I would recommend it as a fun thing to do on a Thursday night, especially for a date.
