Gluten-free pizzas at this establishment are not a true gluten free pizza. Sure the pizza crust is gluten free. But the prep table from where is prepared is also on the same table as the non gluten-free pizzas.
For a person who has celiac disease such as my daughter and my lady, it can be catastrophic if cross contamination occurs because with celiac disease and the symptoms from cross-contamination, it poisons the body. For example a person who has celiac disease can experience horrible conditions such as diarrhea, nausea and severe stomach cramps. Or worse. So to advertise a gluten free pizza is borderline terrifying especially when the people preparing the pizza have absolutely little to no knowledge of celiac disease. It should be mandatory that all staff understands the dangers of cross contamination and using clean utensils to cut the gluten free pizza.
One eighth of a teaspoon of gluten can cause intestinal damage.
