Room smelled musty, moldy, smoked in and was out dated, with dirty carpet, mold in the bathroom. The vanity sink is inside the bathroom and not where shown on website, outside the toilet shower area. When we open the door into the unit, the entrance hall width is reduced immediately by at least 6" narrower than the door width. Reserved a non-smoking room with oceanfront view and balcony for 4 adults at $215 and $230 per night to find an ashtray on the balcony, strong odor in the room and 2 full size beds which we barely fit in and couldn't sleep well. After we first checked in our room at 2:30pm on 2/23 we went to the front desk to ask if they could change our room due to smell, size, not as shown on website, etc and they said no. I requested again without oceanfront, I was willing to give up view and balcony for no smell and cleaner, possibly renovated room and they said no they were already full. I told the front desk 2 of us are allergic to mold and it was already affecting us but they offered no change of room. We were congested with a sore throats both nights and slept with the sliding door open to keep the fresh air in the room. Very, very disappointed, not up to Crown Plaza standards at all. Also this was the first time ever I ran into the problem that 2 full size beds were 'standard' and not 2 queen size, never had to clarify that before and of course will from now on. The only thing nice about our stay was the beach access and ocean front view. Also, 10:30pm Friday night on our way back into our room, past the pool area was dark, full of people having fun and the aroma of marijuana was strong. Staff appeared to ignore what was going on but it was prevalent and obvious, very disturbing this was acceptable at all, especially when the pool was supposed to be closed.
