TRUCKING COMPANIES BEWARE!! I wish there was an option for ZERO stars. We completed a load for them in May. We were on time and did everything as we agreed to. The shipper MCCAIN in Grand Island kept our truck there for over 8 hours. The contact with Hill Bros, NICK, told me that they would pay detention and stated it would be $210. He never would send over an updated rate sheet and eventually was hard to get to respond to emails. After we invoiced with the amount he told us we would be paid, they declined to pay and demanded that we invoice without the detention we were due for sitting for so long. We went back and forth for the past 2 months and he would tell us it was in the works and waiting for approval. The load was picked up on MAY 13 and it took until JULY 10 for them to finally send a rude message stating that they would not be paying detention and if we wanted to be paid on the load to just move on without asking for detention any further. We are now over 50 days out on payment, shorted $210. They got THEIR MONEY!! Will never do business with this company again!
