Today we had our last monthly Tour which took us to the Liberties in Dublin s South inner city to visit Teelings Distillery.
It is a tourist hot spot and our guide Elenea who hails from Eastern Europe was pleasant welcoming and informative. She was a little surprised to see nine Dubs among her international guests with her telling us about the inner city and all of us having some links with the inner city.
On arrival there is a really nice reception area and cafe. All the light fittings and most of the furniture are made from up cycled whiskey barrels.
Our host showed us around the museum and the distillery area which was very interesting. We then adjourned to their bar for a sample of fine whiskey and cocktail. All of the Shed members expressed their satisfaction with their morning s outing and was a good conclusion to this year s tours.
