If this can help one person to not have to go through what our office went through with this company, my type writing this will be worth it. I became a manager for my office a year ago and I couldn't understand why we were even using this postage machine when it turns out more expensive than just going to Costco and buying rolls of stamps. Pitney Bowes ties you into a 5 year contract. Luckily, ours was up December 31, 2016. So we waited until that finished up. So you're loading your postage etc and the machine malfunctions (meaning there's a void in the stamp) and you have to do it again, you lose that money. And they'll tell you there's nothing that they can do about it because it's Canada Post. You have to clean the ink heads. They charge you for the postage, a leasing charge for the machine and an insurance charge as well. I asked them why are we being charge for insurance. We have insurance for all our contents within the office. So they never asked the previous manager if we had insurance. They just charge you until you actually ask them. They asked me to send a copy of the insurance policy and I did. Then they took of the monthly charge for that. End of January after our contract has expired and we've terminated with their services, they're still sending us invoices and every month, I have to wait a minimum of 20 minutes to speak to a human being, then I have to explain that we no longer have any contract with them. Then they pretend to just realize this. I asked them why hasn't this machine been picked up yet. They give me so many reasons such as: they put all shipping on hold because of the holidays. And I asked why the bill was so high for our last bill and they said it's really not $576.70. There was a typo and our balance is $56 something February, I call again because we're still with this machine and they send me a bill for the lease of this machine. I tell them the whole story and ask them why this machine is still here. They said they'll have it picked up right away and don't worry about the lease charges, they will reverse it. March, the machine is still here even though Glenda promised through email that someone will pick it up and we've even sent payment for the shipping. Now it's April and we get a notice that our account has been passed to a collections agency. Good thing all of my proof was in writing so I sent them to the collections agency. They apologized and said they are awaiting Pitney Bowes to reply to their inquiry. Please stay far away from this company. It's not worth the headache they cause.
