A small but respectable collection of art can be found in this gallery, which can be easily enjoyed in under two hours at least. I especially found the Victorian art section interesting as it's possibly the closest Auckland can get to similar art at the Louvre Museum. Access around and within the Gallery is very convenient and you cannot argue with the entry price (free but donations are encouraged). Even if you are to skim through most of the pieces, you can also appreciate the fine and classy architecture of the building. The timber used here is beautiful.
