I have been with Forum since 2008. For the last year I ve used the account strictly for my Mortgage Payment to be taken out each month. I Recently found out that my account was closed due to an overdraft fee that occurred over 60 days ago. The fee was caused in error from my former mortgage company trying to pull out an mortgage payment that they shouldn t have. I recently refinanced my home, ex.(Why it s been 60 days since I viewed the account.) Once I found out that my account was in the negative and that my account had been closed due to the over draft fee, I immediately called Forum to find out what could ve caused this. From the first time that I spoke with the representative I could hear the rudeness in her tone. Throughout the conversation I felt like I was being interrogated rather than helped. Long story short I ask the representative if my former mortgage company was unable to reimburse me for the error then what payment options were available for me to take care of the negative balance. She then makes the statement will January 3rd work? It s only $182.00. I then requested to speak to a manager because I felt like that statement was completely unprofessional. Jermey responded and I explained to him the situation. I have never felt so disrespected before by someone in customer service. Forum if this is what you teach your employees in their training? If so then you have completely missed the mark. You should not treat anyone with this level of disrespect, let alone someone that has been banking with you over 10+ years. I understand that I spoke to someone In the collections department and they probably hear a lot of lies being told to them. But in this particular situation, an honest error occurred. Like I stated to the manager in the last 10+ years I have never had my account reflect in the negative. Once this situation is resolved I will not be returning to bank with Forum. I have multiple other accounts with different banks that I use and I ve never experienced an issue like this before. My advice to future bankers. STAY FAR AWAY FROM FORUM CREDIT UNION.
