Any insurance company that wants to take 1.5% as a "service fee" from the provider when they submit eclaims...is not a good insurance company. Maybe there are more I havent worked with, but NO other insurance I have had the pleasure of working with does this? Its really bizarre. Not to mention, we submitted a claim last year for a patient, hit the "provider" button as the payee...only to find out once everything was settled...that the payment went to the patient. No explanation/notification... We were so confused... Had NO idea we had to sign up separate to allow the payment to be submitted to provider. They said we are not allowed to charge patients the "service fee"... but you cant stop an office from raising their prices as a whole to make sure that fee IS covered whenever someone with quikcard does happen to come in *shrugs* :/
