Love this hotel. It's not perfect but for a quick week away, it does the trick!
We stayed 23-30th Jan 2019 and were given complimentary black bands for our stay. We were in room 6318 which had a partial sea view. Room had been decorated since last visit on 2015. It was ok but chilly at times.
I thought the food had improved since last time, it was hot and plentiful. Much more choice than I recall. Getting bottles of wine with dinner was really nice - much better than the wine on tap.
What I liked best was the improvement in the staff! We got table service at night on the lobby bar and the queues at the bars were less than I remember. But all the staff seemed happier! Smiling, joking and being helpful - which wasn't the case in 2015.
Couple of negatives - the food in the adult only bar was awful - not as good as before .... and please get the door on the adults side of reception fixed. It was really cold in the evenings due to the wind blowing into the building.
Other than that, great and I would return in an instant.
We hired a car (CICAR) and the hotel was a great base for days out.
