We started attending Oak Grove when our daughter was just over a year old and stayed until she was about 2.5 years old. We were overall content with the school for about a year, but they started having a lot of teacher turnover (which also coincided with a price increase in tuition). It got so bad that I would not know the teacher that my daughter was having from day to day, and I never knew which big combined classroom they would be using to try to cover for teacher absences. I was understanding for a few months, but asked to receive some communication around the efforts to improve the teaching situation, as well as some indication so that I would know who was watching my daughter throughout the day. It got to the point that my daughter cried every day not wanting to go to school, and I had a hard time prepping her for the day when I didn't know any details myself. One day, I picked her up and she was wearing another child's panties and pants, even though I had dropped off a change of clothes for her. The teachers were so inconsistent that they couldn't keep up with who was where. To make matters worse, all of our requests for communication were left completely unanswered. We sent a final notification that we were leaving and explained our grievances. None of our concerns were met with a response. We felt completely disrespected and did not feel comfortable for our daughter to attend a school with such an absence of concern. We have since switched schools and we are shocked at the level of communication that is a standard at the other schools. I never knew that I was supposed to be receiving DAILY updates! And we also found that tuition at the surrounding schools is actually less than that at Oak Grove, even though Oak Grove provided extremely sub-quality service. The only reason that they are getting two stars is because we did have a few teachers who genuinely loved our daughter and tried their best given their environment.
