I came in to CP Regional for my first surgery not really knowing what to expect, as it was my first time, but I knew I was scared and nervous. I dislike hospitals and even more so, being hospitalized. However, upon arrival, I soon realized the nurse staff was incredible and I didn t need to worry. From the preop nurse Elsy who knew it was my first surgery and helped to put me at ease. To the kind male nurse who helped me smile while I was being put under anesthesia (I am sorry I don t remember your name). To the day shift nurse Vickie who was kind, caring and quick to help when it was needed. To the nurses who helped me during recovery when I felt like I couldn t breathe and was in pain. To the overnight nurse Yadah who was equally as kind, caring and quick to help. Everyone was extraordinarily considerate and attentive to my needs. And of course the techs, my surgeon Dr. Abando, and the Bariatric coordinator Sukwan were wonderful as well. Discharge instructions were explained thoroughly and even though it was a lot of information to digest, I left feeling prepared for my recovery. I m so glad I made the decision to have my surgery at this hospital. Too often nurses don t get the appreciation they deserve, but this patient wants to let her nurses know that all of them, even the ones whose names I do not recall, are very much appreciated. Thank you for your help and kindness.
