As a visitor to Madrid, this was one of the must-go places for me. They are very famous and popular so if you want to come here for dinner, you should make a reservation in advance. I ended up coming here for lunch but I think the experience would have been the same. The decor is nice and historic with wooden beams and old style furniture, you do get a feeling that this is a very old restaurant, in fact it's the oldest one according to Guinness Book of Record. Service was very professional and not the warmest service but I think it's on purpose. We ordered suckling pig and the milk-fed lamb - both roasted and the restaurant specialties. Although I love lamb normally, I preferred the pig as it was more tender and juicy.
