I just checked in. Had to wait 1-1/2 hours to get checked in. I get it is a holiday weekend, but that was unacceptable!!! The food is subpar and expensive. The rooms are in need of a MAJOR update. Damn! I mean really?? I've worked in the hotel industry and I know when owners are being jerks about needed updates and keeping the profits. I was really excited about this trip but I'm thoroughly disappointed. I have no desire to return to Puerto Rico. Expensive trip and not getting anything of value. I'm only giving 2 stars because of the view. This is unacceptable to bear the Waldorf Astoria name.
