I visited the Langton on the 2nd Jan for my 21st birthday. I think this is the first time I've ever bothered to write a review after eating somewhere, which proves just how good this experience was. My girlfriend and I were served by Kasia and she couldn't have provided better service. She was so nice, constantly smiling and made sure we had everything we needed (I work in a restaurant and understand how annoying/stressful even waiting on can be and she didn't show any sign of that to us). We ordered the Salmon with Brocoli and the Seafood Linguine dishes and had nothing to complain about. The food was gorgeous. I've genuinely never tasted a better Seafood Linguine anywhere else and the dish looked amazing. Apparently the kitchen staff had been made aware that it was my birthday so, when we ordered the brownie and ice cream pudding, we both got a portion each, along with THE BEST homemade cookies I've ever eaten, with the dish decorated with chocolate sauce. Overall, value for money, food quality and service were all perfect. We were made aware that only a few dishes weren't available on the menu (including all pizzas) but this was completely fine as Kasia let us know as soon as she served us. The only shame was not being able to try the chunky chips but, it's not that deep and the skinny fries were great. The one thing I can flaw with the whole experience was that the restaurant part of the pub was empty. We were the only table in the restaurant area, which was strange, but there was enough atmosphere coming from the bar area. To be fair, it was a Thursday night at 9pm but it's a shame you guys didn't have more customers. This is my first ever restaurant/pub review and I'd normally joke about people that write these but, you guys obviously did something right if I'm posting one. Thank you so much for such a nice evening. Compliments to the chefs and all staff.
