Great for a day out if you want to see a lot of sculpture in an amazing out door setting. The grounds are beautiful too! I like to start at the Skyscape Deer Shelter to adjust my mindset to the place.
Bring a picnic and spend the day. You should be aware that it will take about 45 minutes to walk from the main building to the Longside Gallery, and there are plenty of works to see on the way, so I would say 4 hours is would be a minimum if you want to take much of it in. There are buses to Longside from the main building every half hour, if you don't fancy the walk.
Plenty of space for children to run around and play hide and seek in amongst the works of art.
