My daughter has battled mental illness four years ...

My daughter has battled mental illness four years now. As health professionals should be increasingly aware, the onset is happening at an earlier age and it only get's worse with age. It doesn't go away. My daughter was in-patient in Arlington, TX, was accepted to Cedar Crest, they even sent a van to pick her up. The disgust on the Dr's face when he looked at me and my daughter (we're black) poured from his aura. He badgered my daughter, kept asking her why was she here, they can't do anything for her, said she needs to just see a therapist weekly. WHY did they tell my insurance company and the hospital she was in, that she was a good fit, when clearly the color of her skin was all wrong. They had the audacity to ask me what are my goals for her, All I could do was laugh, then I said it's like a "spin top in mud", since this conversation isn't going anywhere, we will head back to Arlington, and I picked up my paperwork, my daughter's bag and said it would have been nice to know we weren't a good fit before driving here. The Dr opened the door and didn't say a WORD, me being a decent person, and black, I said, "Have a good day", and we left. Of course they LIED to the hospital in Arlington, said they offered me alternate choices or outpatient services to diffuse the situation... Really, what situation? Has anyone of color ever received treatment here, I'dd like to know if any are presently there and how many, if any have ever been treated at their facility. I will be filling a grievance first thing in the AM. There need's to be a NEGATIVE star available.
