I recently bought a $500 pair of Sanders boots from a retailer in Australia.
The first day I wore them, the stitching on the upper came undone. I contacted Sanders in the UK to ask how I would go about getting them fixed (under warranty I would assume) and they replied simply saying that I must have bought the wrong size and I should just try to get them repaired by a local bootmaker at my own expense.
-Note that I was measured for fit and the boots fit perfectly.

I am astounded at this dismissive treatment and lack of care from a shoemaker that markets itself on tradition and quality. I will not buy again.
