I should have listened to the previous review. This place is beyond words. Dishonest with zero integrity. Hired by a likable enough young kid named Bobby and yes the initial Training is $12 an hour. I had 38.75 hrs at this rate was turned loose on my own and worked a shadow run at the 23% of load pay (still have no idea how much that paid for the 14 hrs it took), then did one more solo run before quitting after an 11 1/2 hr shift that I wasn t going to be paid for. Yes that is correct! I still can t even comprehend their methods.

As for the final pay check and state law of an employer having 7 days to pay you? Good luck with that as well. I am at 18 days with still no check. They share an office inside Desert Ready Mix in Mesa. There is not one mention of Superior Bulk on the building, door or even the inside (a clue in it self let alone the fact that the office address doesn t even come up on google anywhere). I went in and spoke to a very nice Girl who pulled up my pay info etc, I saw it on her computer screen etc and she said it was mailed out the day before. Well that was 8 days ago. I live 3 miles from the office and am familiar with local mail. Still no check! Called yesterday morning and left a voicemail for accounting and of course nothing. Filing with the labor board today. These people are beyond dirty. Do not work for them.

Just one of their insane methods is the fact that each day you will not find out what time you work until around 16:30 hrs. (You start on nights, 6 days a week) So imagine receiving a text message at 4:30pm that you have to wake up and respond to that may tell you to be at work anywhere from 6pm to midnight! There are no set hours or shifts! Ever. You had better have some one to answer your phone for you if you want decent sleep. Often times turn around is your 10 hr break. So that s off, drive home, sleep drive back to work etc. Its no wonder they literally had 5 accidents totaling trucks last year alone! You can expect to work anywhere from 8 hrs to 15 hrs, again this varries every day. My very first night I woke up at 4:30 and didn t wind up going to work until 11:30 pm, the next night was 7:30 pm???? You ll never see what the load actually pays just what s on your check. It s 23% of the load but again you have no idea what each load pays and there are dozens of different routes. Honestly the percentage could be 3% of actual cost and you would never know.

I could literally go on and on but steer clear of this place. Look at their adds nearly every day on Craigslist, that should tell you they can t keep people. I started out working 100-120 weeks in the oil fields, owned my own OTR company that was sold right before this job. Not afraid of hard work or the hours but allergic to BS and dishonest people. You are warned!
