I talked with the salesperson before traveling to Lakeland from Port St Lucie, Fl. Amy was very helpful, we had communicated via text up until that day. When I found the vehicle that I wanted she was there to greet me at the dealership. While discussing the pricing, trade-in value and rebates people were very honest and upfront. When the paperwork was being finalized I noticed a charge in the amount of $1549 for a 3yr plan. I was shown an 18"x24" flier that they have on their tables, that said free tire rotations, window protection and $1500 in savings coupons. I thought it was placed in my vehicle at the dealership. It was not. I was told, not by Amy, that in order to purchase the vehicle from their dealership I would need to purchase this plan as well. I told them I did not live in the area and would really not have a lot of use for it. I was told with the price In was being given for my 2014 jeep Wrangler Sahara and the price for the 2020 Challenger with rebates it was necessary for them to include this kit and cost so they could make a profit. I almost left the dealership at this point. They came down another $500.As a retired Veteran and as someone who is not local this is a waste of money and unfair. I am happy with the Challenger just not pleased with the necessity to buy the local protection kit. Btw-I have not received the $1500 in savings coupons, yet. I have contacted the dealership by text message. I will give them a day or 2 to contact me about sending me the coupons. Hopefully, they are able to be used at all Dodge dealerships.
