I trained with Body Control Pilates as a Pilates teacher.
In my view and therefore based upon my experience at BCP, there are some great teachers at and some simply appalling ones too!
I found the teaching and therefore Pilates teacher training to be at times, nothing less than inconsistent, thus creating confusion from the outset for both myself and my fellow students. Students are often treated by BCP as simply 'students' and not as professionals who choose to be educated by BCP and therefore pay BCP's hefty fees (I am a professional with a successful career in another field, who simply decided to learn how to teach Pilates which is something I love in order 'to add another string to my bow'!).
Sadly for BCP, I have now chosen to train elsewhere after an appalling experience with one of BCP's female teachers which took place during my Pilates Reformer examination - I had previously been taught by this same teacher on BCP's children's Pilates course.
I am a well respected and professional external verifier myself (albeit in another industry too) and if I had behaved just as this individual did, I would be simply 'struck off' and I would therefore loose my verifier accreditation and status too!
This woman has a case of 'big ego'!!
In my view, this situation was sadly both very badly and unprofessionally handled by BCP management.
So, as I mentioned, I now train elsewhere!
BCP's loss is another providers gain as I take my experience and memories with me - to share!
There are other Pilates teacher training providers available who do the same, if not a better job than BCP!!!
