My husband and I had approximately $250.00 in gift...

My husband and I had approximately $250.00 in gift cards and made appointments to finally use them- post COVID. We drove 45 minutes to get to our appointment and the receptionist said the gift cards weren t in their system and then called the manager for assistance. The manager said they wouldn't honor them because they no longer had them in their system. The manager said we would have to provide receipts from purchasing them a few years ago to prove we bought them at this specific location. They were purchased at this location, there was no expiration on the gift cards, and with COVID we had held on to them longer than planned and she took no responsibility nor offered any resolution. Terrible customer service and also their book keeping clearly needs some significant improvements as they do not keep a record of the gift cards their business sells. Was shocked that she offered no resolution or apology and then hung the phone up on me- terrible experience!!!
