I recently moved to the area and the convience of having a hospital near by was great. My experience though was up and down. I was brought in via ambulance and had to wait a while for them to find me a bariatric bed. Ultimately they found a bed which was very uncomfortable and my feet were crunched against the footboard. I m only 5 8 so I couldn t be that y all. The bed was still fairly small for a baratric patient.

ER
My experience with the ER department was mixed. The support staff was great. They tried to make me as comfortable as possible even though I was clearly uncomfortable. The biggest problem I had was the ER nurse. My room in the ER was very adjacent to the nurses station. Steps away. Well this nurse proceeds to gossip about me to another employee all while I m sitting up in my bed looking at him. He was telling the employee about how much I weighed and they had to find me a bed. This nurse is toxic to the ER department. He may me hardworking but he has no sense and clearly thinks he s the center of attention to speak about patients just feet away. He also threatened to put a catheter in me if I didn t pee in a bottle. He then sent 4 male ER students to my room to get a urine sample. 3 of them were behind me and one was in front of me holding a cup. I rejected to give them urine. I was uncomfortable and dehydrated anyways so I couldn t give a sample.

Admission
I got To the ER at 3am and couldn t get me into a room until 3pm. A man from the hospitality department said they were ordering me a bed and it will be in my room. I waited a few hours and kept pressing the nurse. I can t remember her name but she was amazing. I told them if they can just take me up to the room with the bed I m currently in just so I can get up there and get away from the hustle and bustle of the ER department. A few hours pass by and I m livid but I can t do anything. The nurse had finally said they got me a room and just a few extra minutes I was transported to my room.

Btw that bed they had ordered... never came

Staff
Exceptional staff, nurses, and doctors. Except for Mr. ER Nurse. They are attentive to your needs, friendly, nice, and hear you out.

I ve been to plenty of hospitals and while there were a few issues here and there. The professionalism of the experts here far outweigh the negative.

Update- Discharge

It took them 6 hours to discharge me. It was so long the transport to take me home had already closed. I waited all day to go home and now I have to stay here another night. They really botched today s discharge. They had the odessedy to tell me their hand are tied. Very upset and livid.

Changed To 2/5 from 3/5 stars
