I'm just going to reiterate what another reviewer said about hidden fees. Up until recently, I had a very good experience with MFCU. Staff was helpful and they seemed to be looking out for my interests when I applied for a car loan. The loan officer even gave me good advice on working with the dealership in terms of which ones were shady negotiators on prices.

I was paying more than the required amount on my loan when, all of a sudden, I was stuck with an 8 dollar late fee for not making a payment on time. That was pretty ridiculous to me since I had been overpaying on the loan. Staff wouldn't budge on the late fee and talked to me like I was a 4 year old. Fortunately, I had the last laugh. I didn't owe too much more on the loan, so I paid it off in full that very day and closed my account. If you decide to work with MFCU for a car loan, since they do offer competitive rates, be sure to read all of the fine print.
