After checking their website AND Google hours to make sure they were open today, Sunday January 19th, I lugged both kids 30miles into town for a special time at the Carousel. When we got there, loaded my handicap child into his special needs stroller and collected my bag, we were greeted with a closed Carousel. I just wanted to tell them THANKS A LOT.

This fast carousel (with not only horses but also dragons) was the highlight of our toddler's trip to Montana. It's right downtown next to the river with a great park next door. It's enclosed in the winter and open in the summer. This is a must see for any trip to Missoula with kids.

I love going to the carousel with my family and friends and have been for years. The staff is normally very friendly, the manager is great. but i have to say, the ginger hair girl working this morning was EXTREMELY rude to me and my family and other customers as well. She also seemed to be not too friendly with the other workers which were very sweet. It didn't seem to me that i was the only one bothered by her bad attitude. First time ive seen this girl working and was disappointed in her ability to be friendly in such a magical place. I normally dont write reviews, but she was just SO rude, I had to say something.

I loved to take my girls here, and it was a place they always requested to go to and seemed to always have so much fun. Dragon Hollow is also very well laid out for toddlers on up. A fun place for kids, and I loved the smile it put on my kids' faces.

The most beautiful carousel we have ever been to. The wood carving exhibit is also a thoughtful extra. My children remember our stop there so fondly. The teenagers running the carousel were thorough, well-mannered and upbeat. The gift shop is also really nice, and the price to ride is super affordable. We unfortunately forgot cherished pony greeting cards in the dash of the rental car, which just means we'll have to get ourselves back to Missoula Montana one day!

Fun for the whole family or date night. Anyone. Historical info & pics...like mini museum. Great gift shop. Walking trails along river. A variety of shops & restaurants in walking distance. The carousel even has the old fashioned brass rings to grab!

It's beautiful and unique. Staff are friendly, and with the Dragon's Hollow just outside and several nice places to eat across from the parking lot (Tamarack and McKenzie River Pizza) it's an easy place to spend the afternoon with friends and family, especially with kids.

It was very fun all the way up until we were going around in the carousel and the gears kicked or something but we felt like we'd get thrown off had they not emergency shut down the place. I'm sure this place at the top of its game is a wonderful place to have fun. The dragons hallow next door is a great playground also to have your kids run it out before heading home. I'll go back maybe but not on the carousel. UPDATE: 07,08,2018 The place has had a great turnaround they went out of their way to make a greater experience the carousel runs amazingly and the widdlers of the horses are there and give great insight on the background of the building and the pieces on the carousel.

The antique structure and decoration of this carousel is what makes it stand out. Every horse was made with care and the painting and carvings all around the place are just so whimsical. Rides for children are only 75 cents so I bring the kids I nanny here every week. They love it. The playground out back is also fire (haha dragon jokes) so the fun doesn't stop with the carousel!

I didn't actually ride the carousel but watch all the happy people that did. There was a really cool park next to it and the carousel was very bright and cool looking. Very crowded on the weekends!!!

The horses were detailed and beautiful. The ride was fast and fun. Two kids ages 9 and 1 with is both enjoyed it. The park just outside was really fun as well. Giant play structure. We could have spent the whole day.
