I fly in and of RDU frequently and normally the experience is good. This review is more about the Southwest employee at the ticketing counter than RDU itself.

On Friday, January 6th, I was accompanying my son through the check in process and in front of us, there was a tiny woman struggling with a huge box she planned on checking. One of the ticketing counter ladies told her to check in at a booth towards the end of the counter. She could barely move the box so I grabbed it for her and took it to what we thought was the open kiosk. When I put the box on the scale, the lady that was working at that kiosk very rudely said, "Whachyall even doin'?! Why y'all come here?" There was all kinds of snippy attitude behind it and it was quite inappropriate.

All I was trying to do was help a stranger with her luggage and this employee made it quite clear that we were irritating her. I responded, "To answer your first question, we're trying to check her luggage and board the airplane." She gave me an eye roll and pointed to the "correct" counter.

I could only imagine how this person would conduct herself if there was an actual issue.
