Our son has attended Post19 for the past 5 years since moving on from special needs schooling and we have to say his experience has been one of the best periods of his challenging young life with autism. It is down to the proactive, enthusiastic and engaging attitude of the staff which has enabled our son to partake in activities and life skills he otherwise wouldn't. A really important feature of Post19, which we have found hugely valuable, is that Post19 partners closely with parents, meaning we work together very effectively to resolve issues and strive for the best experiences and outcomes for our son. In summary great people that care, providing a very special service in our experience.
Here's the punchline; my son doesn't talk so can't tell us what he thinks, but we know he loves Post19 as he jumps out of bed every day to get ready to go, something he would rarely do in previous settings.
