Our kids always enjoy this museum. There s a modest sized water play area (the energy lab) that you will want to visit last in case they get wet (also helpful to bring a change of clothes and shoes). Next to this is the under 36 months area for small kids that is endlessly entertaining for small kids with a bus, treehouse, slide, boat and more. There s also an infant area in this space. These areas are next to the bathrooms and near the entrance.

On the other side of the cafe there s several exhibits that sometimes change. Currently there s a TV video area, giant light bright, construction, drums, emotions, a marble maze and a couple other things. Down the hall there s a dinosaur exhibit with digging area and play nest along with animatronic dinosaur. Across from this there s a space exhibit on Apollo. The last area is the media area with the touch floor, lights and sounds.

There s a great room for parties and lots of outdoor areas as well (playground and a light maze right now). Near the entrance there s a Rube Goldberg machine. They also have a teacher resource area by the entrance with lots to do. It s open to the public many times when events aren t happening.

The cafeteria tries to have healthy options with fruit, yogurt, and baked fries and breaded chicken. You can also bring your food.

There are fun little touches like a kid door at the entrance that our kids love!
