If you are thinking about staying in Albuquerque, ...

If you are thinking about staying in Albuquerque, or the surrounding areas give this hotel a very wide berth. Located in the heart of Albuquerque it is centrally located in the city for all that is worth. On the positive side the valets and front desk were very helpful and attentive. Unfortunately that's where the positives end. Parking comes at a premium, sixteen dollars a day to self park. Twenty to valet. Given where it is located, you don't want to self park! Our rooms featured torn rugs, stained walls and an air conditioner encrusted in dust, great care must be taken by the housekeeping staff to not accidentally brush the dust off by accident. The same level of care is seen in the bathroom as they forgot that humans normally use soap to was their hands. Or after being gone all day they come by at 5:30 at night to finally clean the room. It's a big place I hear you saying.. it is having twenty floors! Of those the second floor is meeting rooms, the third is the pool, floors four through thirteen are rented out, with wild conspiracies as to who rents them. During our nearly week long stay we only ran into people who were staying in the same few rooms on the fourteenth floor. Next onto the pool, naturally heated outdoor pool just over three feet deep. Also features a hot tub that is hot enough to boil eggs. Pool side service for a small fee, plus automatic gratuity of twenty one percent, plus they attempt to squeeze an additional tip when they hand you the bill. The best part was they charged us DOUBLE for our beverages despite the prices clearly being posted at the pool. The food and beverage staff also seems to be bothered by having to take orders from customers, either ignoring requests or just not answering the phone when called.
