While it is true that Pence Auction employs college kids, I didn't find anything of value damaged. What I found was polite professionalism from the kids he hires. I do not believe that he uses "select buyers" either.Without a doubt, he knew how to price things perfectly. Most were right on the money (so to speak)--even when we had second-guessed him. Also, when he handled my mother's estate he had valuable ideas for how to determine what should/should not be sold and how to divvy things up so that there were no hard feelings among siblings. I cannot say enough good things about the service we received and the integrity of Rick Pence! (I thinks it's a shame that people tend to post negative reviews and let positive experiences go undocumented. With hundreds of sales in the area, only two bad reviews is quite an accomplishment. I hope others will come forward with more positive impressions.)
