I went to the ER after 4 days of severe leg pain per my providers instructions, I broke my left femur in a fall in 2010 and have hardware, plates, screws, wires and rod. I could not walk or even move my leg! The PA that took my case was very rude and un caring. She had x-rays done. After pumping me with different pain meds that didn t work and seeing on x-rays that some of my hardware wires were frayed and there were metal fragments in my soft tissue she decided to admit me, even though an Orthopedic said this was not the cause of my severe pain. They put me on the Orthopedic surgery floor, so naturally I thought they would remove my hardware! Yet the board instructions said pain management. For 2 days they tried different medications, some worked for my pain. Meanwhile no one explained that you had to call for room service in order to eat! I finally figured it out the 2nd day! The nurses and CNA s were never available when I rang, my bedside commode sat in my room, stinky for several hours! I would not recommend this facility for Emergency care or hospital stay, I was discharged with meds and instructed to follow up with primary for anything else I needed! Not proactive care facility at all!
