Worst experience I have ever had at an airport. I ...

Worst experience I have ever had at an airport. I was traveling alone with my toddler, and even though I had service requested on my airline ticket, there was no service available even at the airport, let alone the airlines. When I tried to talk to the people on duty at the airport asking for help with picking up and dropping off my baggage, no one could provide me with accurate information on who I needed to contact or where I needed to go. They acted like it wasn't their problem. It wasn't until an hour after I arrived when someone finally noticed I needed help with my luggage while taking care of a toddler. Thankfully there was a 4.5 hour wait before the next flight. The airport employees lack empathy, and I cannot explain the unkind expressions and glances we received at security where most help was needed. A very strong contrast to Chicago O'Hare, where most of the employees I came across at the airport were kind enough to help with the stroller at security and wherever else I needed information and help. I feel sorry for these employees at Newark airport. They are probably not treated very well by their authorities. Or it just affirms the buzz about the Northeast truly being the rudest part of the U.S.
