My radiator fan wouldn't shut off. The technician ...

My radiator fan wouldn't shut off. The technician said I needed a new fan. I told him I had replaced it recently. I was charged for the diagnosis. I took the car to Scott's EQ and plugged the computer up to the reader and found it was on override because a pin was bent in the wire connection to the ECM/computer.
Roemer's didn't want to hear about the misdiagnosis or refund the amount paid. I don't know what a shop's protocol is for this kind of thing. The transaction wasn't satisfying to me. I would like to always see a shop vet their technicians for a higher degree of skill.
