I ordered something online, they called to say it'...

I ordered something online, they called to say it's not in stock (which can happen). I asked when will the stock be updated in the system? They said to always call to check the stock before ordering. What is the purpose of an online shop if you have to call offline to confirm before you place an order? This is not reflective of all Praxis stores, but this one seems poorly organized.

PS: they forgot to refund my purchase, I called to let them know more and nobody picked up the phone the first few times, I guess the calling before you order would be difficult given the fact that phones are not always answered
