Huge selection of parts through their network, and good prices. However, customer service is terrible. This time, I found a huge error in their catalogue (after I bought the part and had it shipped to South America.) I confirmed the error by comparing with Auto Parts Warehouse, which has the correct listings.
Rock Auto offers non-functioning telephone response in five languages, but pressing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (1 being English) produces only a recording saying (in English) "This is not a valid extention." If you send an e-mail, you will get a nasty and unresponsive reply. If you try to explain via their website why you want to return a part or had a problem with an order, and why returning the part is for some reason not possible, there is no way to enter an explanation. Easy to find parts in the online catalogue---which, it turns out, may or may not be correct. Also, some of their suppliers ship in hugely oversized boxes, which adds significantly to costs for those of us who rely on international air freight. Suggestions in this regard are treated by customer service e-mails both unpleasant and unresponsive.
