I was travelling with my wife and two sons (11 months & 8 years old) from LGW to Agadir via Casablanca.
When we reached the Immigration counter, the manager barked at us to go away and fill in landing cards for all members of family. ( The airline (Royal Air Maroc) did not mention this and there was no sign at the airport as well). I requested a pen from the manager to which is waved me off saying not his problem.
When I finally reached the immigration counter, the officer shouted at us to go back and come one by one. I had to tell him couple of times that my young sons would not be able to come by themselves and only then he agreed that we can come in pairs as one parent with one kid.
Next, the custom officer demanded to see our boarding passes for both legs of journey. I didn't keep the boarding passes from first leg of our journey however he was adamant that he needs to see our boarding passes until I was able to pull an email confirming our flight details.
In mean time, my 8 years old was minding his own business and playing with his bad when the airport manager barked at him to stop and raising his finger to him which brought my son to tears.
The icing on cake was when on our return journey, we were the only one in queue and there were three immigration/customs officers on separate desks. They made us wait for five minutes listening to some music on their radio and then ordered us to come one by one. I asked the other immigration officer if he could process my wife's + toddler at the same time since he was free however he ignored me completely. After couple of minutes a french couple came to counter and they were greeted with big smiles and processed by two officers at the same time.
The airport staff discriminated based on skin color not only to us but other people of Asian descent as well.
The manager at immigration desk is not only rude and ignorant but a bigot as well.
If you are planning to take your family for holidays, think twice since no one deserves this kind of treatment from people on a power trip
