Review of Foolish Craig's

It's rare that I consider leaving a poor review, but unfortunately this place has earned it. The food was incredibly bland, yet priced at a premium ($12+ per 'sandwich'). We got the Cuban sandwich which had a wonderful description including pulled pork and pickles. It was served on a fresh and well-textured, yet flavorless sandwich roll.

There truly was no taste other than the mustard and the overwhelming taste of... Well, flavorless bread. We also tried the Philly cheese steak, which should have been honored by leaving it in it's hometown. This local redux followed the recipe to a tee but was unable to muster any variation in flavor other than, again, the same non-descript bread.

Did I let my server know? No, we did not see again until halfway through the meal. For better or worse, I will not complain about my meal when I've consumed half of it. It wasn't terrible, so I did not refuse it. Just uninspired and overpriced.

In fairness, the quality of the meats, the bread and the tea were all perfectly reasonable. It was the palette which was lacking.

The tea was "local," evidently, although that was all that the server could tell me about it. A Google search revealed the tea spot, is in fact, located in Boulder.

For $50 for two people at a late lunch (including two beverages, but no appetizers), I would expect considerably more in terms of flavor and a more attentive server. The other employees gave us more table time than she did. Sorry, Craig, but I won't be foolish enough to return here.
