We spent 4 nights at Park Royal Resort in Batu Ferringhi. It is not the fancy resort sold to us over the internet. For starters the beach isn't clean at all, plenty of rubbish floating around, even the resort put a net to catch most of it, still not great. The rooms are acceptable, however, staff cleaning the rooms forget regularly to replace towels, or refill water bottles, always had to call room service to request something missing, annoying. Good children water slides and pool, but very crowded, a lot of people does not posses minimum manners. The beach bar is one of the highlights, you can always grab a bite and a cold beer while watching some football on TV, friendly bar crew. Other negative point was the breakfast, long q due to COVID SOP, made worst by poor management, as said, long q to get a table, either if you arrive early or late same result, not the best breakfast I've ever got, lame not tasty, stale bread, lack of fuits options, horrible coffee. We opted to walk next door to Ferringhi Coffee Garden for breakky, a note apart for coffee and breakfast. In general we were left disappointed with Batu Ferringhi in general and Park Royal resort in particular.
