Just saw Little Mermaid and it might be the best show I have ever seen there. Ursula just pulled out all the stops and even today, I find myself thinking about what an amazing performance he gave. He just became that character in every facet. All of the performers were fabulous and well suited for their parts. Aside from the actors/actresses performances, the sets, costumes, an choreography were just spectacular. This is a play I could recommend without reservation. We are so lucky to have this available to those of us who live in and around the Claremont area.
Purely on the play, itself, I rated this experience as a 5. That being said, the dinner was disappointing. The flavors were bland and in some cases, just "off". The chicken strips for the children had a fishy flavor, plus the bread coating seemed uncooked and mushy. The carrots were slightly undercooked, and the remaining vegetables were just tasteless and poorly cooked. The tri-tip though very thinly sliced, was still difficult to cut and completely tasteless. My daughter ordered the salmon and that, too, was tasteless. All of it felt like fast food warmed up. Even the rolls, which I normally just love, were hard and didn't have the usual wonderful tangy taste that I look forward to having when I go to one of the Pavilion performances. The customer service associated with the meal was, as usual, flawless.
Loved, loved, loved the play, but hope that the meals will be restored to their former standards, soon.
