I took the JavaScript Fall Course this year at HackerYou after taking the intro to Web Development Course. I decided to to take this course to prepare myself for the Boot Camp in the Winter and I am really glad I decided to take this route.
The teachers are great and I really appreciate the patience they have with explaining certain concepts to their students. Prior to this course I had almost no experience in writing JavaScript and now I am finishing the course with 3 JavaScript portfolio projects and a great understanding of what JavaScript can do!
They also teach you how to use git and work the command line and use web development tools to make your workflow more efficient.
The reason I choose HackerYou is the attention you get. If you have a hard time understanding a concept, they will stick with you and they will go over and over the material again, until you understand it!
Karley is a great teacher and what I liked about her teaching style the most is that she kept updating the learning materials based on our general understanding of previous subjects. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to dip their toes intro JavaScript or in preparation to the HackerYou Boot Camp!
