If it were possible to give a zero star to this facility, I would. My twenty year old daughter checked herself into this hospital on 3/9/2021. No structure when it comes to helping the patients work through their crisis. The patients are allowed to spend all day in their rooms sleeping. Patients can decline meals. They are not encouraged to maintain personal hygiene. There are no daily goals set in the morning. In the evening there is not a night time meeting where the patients share what they have learned or share a positive moment in the day. The day room is small compared to the maximum amount of patients held on the ward. Silverware is not accounted for after meals, allowing patients who self harm, the opportunity to have a weapon in which to do so. Phone calls go straight to the wall phones, by passing the nurse station. Thus requiring other patients to pick up the call and locate the patient. Visits take place in the patient s room with no staff supervising the visits. This allows visitors to bring drugs into the facility and give them to the patients. This also allows belongings to be stolen from the rooms. In fact, my daughter s clothing was stolen from her room. The theft took place between 6pm-10:00pm. Evening Staff refused to check the camera footage leading from her room to the hallway. Staff checked patients rooms, but that was all. The following day, the staff had no interest in helping her find her missing belongings. Told her to call patient advocate. That is when I became involved. I spoke to the nurse who refused to let me speak to the person in charge. I left a message for the patient advocate. I spoke to the house manger Emily who informed me that they are not allowed to view the video footage until the patient advocate initiates it. 10 minutes later my daughter called me and told me that Emily pulled her aside and told her that she looked at 4 hours of footage and nobody went in her room. How Emily got permission, then looked at four hours of video footage, and then spent five minutes speaking to my daughter, in ten minute period of time is beyond me. THEN my daughter calls me and tells me that a tech pulled her aside and told her housekeeping threw her belongings away. BUT nobody is willing to go down stairs and go through the trash to find them. This mental facility should be shut down! The violations are astounding!!
